A Bit About Me
A Bit About Me
Jackie Kaminski is a registered and licensed dietician with a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology & Sports Nutrition, following a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Florida State University. In addition, Jackie honed her knowledge by obtaining a specialized certification in sports nutrition from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), an organization Jackie has been heavily involved since starting her professional career. Jackie is also a Master-Level nutrition instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a leading, world-class organization that provides the best certifications in the fitness industry.
During a three-month summer internship in sports nutrition, Jackie was first introduced to combat sports. The UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, a state-of-the-art mixed martial arts facility in Nevada, serves as the global headquarters for Ultimate Fighting Championship and is where Jackie felt a strong calling to focus her career. She learned from leading industry professionals and worked with elite-level athletes, including Henry Cejudo, Uriah Hall and Mike Chiesa, honing her new passion with the best of the best.
In March of 2020, Jackie decided to start her own company, The Fight Nutritionist (TFN), just as the pandemic began shutting down the nation. Despite this, she developed an impressive roster of athletes ranging from skilled amateur fighters to world champions. Many of her athletes feel the benefits of her style, which is effective and individualized to optimize performance. Her education allows her to create comprehensive plans for clients in various combat disciplines that benefit the athlete to be at their most fit. In addition, personalized nutrition programs maximize training potential, allowing athletes to maintain and enhance strength while safely cutting weight. She’s had clients across the US and internationally, a testament to her level of expertise and talent in sports nutrition.
Outside of combat sports, Jackie has also worked with various other athletes and clientele ranging from youth to individuals looking to stay healthy and athletic in their later years. Jackie’s mission is to help create life-changing, sustainable, and effective dietary habits for her clients. Her individualized programs allow her clients to understand what dietary strategies will benefit them the most and provide them with the tools and education to implement those strategies well beyond the duration of her nutrition programs.
As a health professional eager to stay at the forefront of the science of sports nutrition, Jackie seeks the most up-to-date research and applies evidence-based practices when working with clients. She also contributes to the next science phase by assisting with research projects out of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She has been published in several research papers and has presented at ISSN’s national conference. In addition to ISSN, Jackie has spoken at several conferences for NASM on various nutrition topics.
